I own three bodhráns: A Buck 18", a
17" drum made by my wife, and a plastic-headed drum from
Mid-East Manufacturing. The first
thumbnail below is a picture of me playing the Buck drum at my wedding;
Riva has her riqq, an Egyptian, fish-skin headed tambourine. The
second picture shows the drum my wife made. She intended it to be a North
African tar, but it has done yeoman service as a bodhrán.
The third picture shows the Mid-East bodhrán. The paint is a little
worn from several years of playing.
And here is a picture of my collection of beaters and bones.
