All bodhrán bodies have a wall thickness of 3/8". No matter what the diameter, all bodies are 3 1/2" deep, unless the model number ends in -D which signifies a 4 3/4" deep body (Excellent for hand drummers or Irish music for depth of tone). All modesl have a rabbet slot on the top outside of the body that the head is tucked into so it will not separate... All models have an inner support ring for additional stabilitiy and strength... All models have walnot crossbars and goatskin heads.
C models have round fixed crossbars.
D models have adjustable and removable crossbars with locating pearl
dot.
E models are the same as D models with the addition of an adjustable
inernal ring that makes them quickly tunable. They also feature two
decorative outside grooves. Only the most select materials are used,
including our AAA premium goatskin head.
TAR - Hand drum (18C-DT) constructed the same as our 18C-D model with
a 1 1/4" diameter hole in the side of the body with no crossbars and a
tighter mounted head.
